Sgt Chase Payne, Army National Guard
Sergeant Chase Payne has built an exceptional career in the Army National Guard, excelling in technical expertise, leadership, and resilience. Since enlisting in 2016, Chase has served as a Land Combat Electronic Missile System Repairer and a Retransmission Team Chief, mastering complex electronic systems critical to military operations.
His commitment to excellence is evident—he scored near-perfect on his PT test, proving doubters wrong and setting a high standard for physical readiness. During his first annual training with Bravo 700, Chase not only broke the most circuit cards but also fixed the most radios and equipment, earning him a coin from the Chief Warrant Officer and the legendary Broken Lamp Award—a lighthearted but well-earned recognition of his skill and determination. Chase also made history as the first person to transition in the Oklahoma National Guard, paving the way for others while continuing to lead with integrity. Now, as an NCO, he is committed to ensuring the Guard remains a place where soldiers thrive.
